Ethan Gilbert (he/him), MT-BC | Music Therapist
Ethan shares the joy and healing power of music to help clients reach their goals and experience meaningful growth. He supports each client’s potential by honoring the deep interconnection between cultural, biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of life. Sessions are filled with musical opportunities like recreating favorite songs, moving to favorite beats, writing original music, discussing lyrics, and reminiscing about meaningful musical memories. All of this happens in a welcoming, nonjudgmental space rooted in positive regard.
Drawing from both neuroscience-informed and humanistic approaches, Ethan believes in the power of strong rapport, client autonomy, and co-creating a vision of each person’s fullest potential. He is deeply curious about how the brain engages with music as a tool for therapeutic change.
Ethan works with children, teens, adults, and older adults across a wide range of settings. His clients consistently share how much they enjoy their time with him.
Born on Oʻahu and raised in Oregon from the age of ten, Ethan fell in love with the magic of music early on. He studied guitar before completing the Independent Artist Program at the Musicians Institute in California and earning his music therapy degree from Colorado State University. In every session, he works collaboratively with clients to help them unlock a vision of their best life. Outside of work, he enjoys going to concerts, spending time with family and friends, and being out in nature.
